There is growing interest in the value of including consumers in all facets of the research process, but limited examples of successful engagement to learn from. Speakers from a consumer disease organisation, research centre, and a trials network will explore the practicalities, pros and cons of consumer involvement in research based on their own experience. As a result of this session, attendees will have been exposed to practical examples of how consumers can be involved in the research process, and what value this can add to clinical trials.
