A1a – Stem cells now and in the future: Where are we on the road to translation?

Stem cell science provides new opportunities to understand and treat intractable disease and illness. This session will provide insight into how stem cells are currently used in research and in the clinic, and Australia’s contribution to the field. Importantly, technical, regulatory and policy implications, as well as community expectation, will be discussed.

Chairperson: Associate Professor Megan Munsie, The University of Melbourne (Stem Cells Australia)
